Skills Development
The Skills Development Benefit can assist eligible Employment Insurance (EI) clients to obtain the skills training that will enable them to obtain and keep employment, by providing financial support directly to them. A participant must be EI eligible to qualify for this program. An action plan will be developed by both the EI client and an EI employment counsellor. The terms of financial assistance will be based on the individual goals and circumstances that are set out in the action plan. Contact Youth In-site at (709) 466-8116 for more information.
